Our people are doing their part to flatten the curve by practicing social distancing and working from home where they can. That said, social distancing does not have to mean social isolation. With technology and a little creativity, we can still stay in touch with our family, friends and coworkers without putting them in harm’s way. Check out how our people are practicing social distancing and staying #ConnectedTogether, whether it’s through an act of kindness for their community or spending time with their coworkers.
Lamar fuels our relief fund
“Since I’m not paying for gas, tolls, lunch, etc. I figured the least I could do was contribute my weekly gas expense to the Employee Relief Fund. AT&T matches each contribution and since it is taken out of my check pretax, I will hardly miss it.” – Lamar Johnson
Susan brings the magic
We love our kids, but they can be a handful. Plenty of parents are realizing how much work it takes to keep children entertained while crossing tasks off their daily to-do lists. Susan Lawson, a mother of three, can relate.
To give her fellow parenting friends a break, she offered digital story time for their kids – complete with a princess makeover. It only took 15 minutes, but that little spark of joy went a long way for the children. So much so that Susan is already planning on the next one!

Drop and give me 10!
Speaking of workouts, the pushup challenge took off in March on the #LifeAtATT Feed. Challengers must prove themselves with 10 (or more!) pushups before calling on five peers to do the same. How did this challenge start? We’re not sure. What we do know is that it lit a competitive fire for many of our employees. Some have even taken it as an opportunity to bond with their families.

Tim joins the testing taskforce
“Supporting patients, frontline staff, and the background workers is the only way we are going to make strides against COVID-19. I have used a blend of my AT&T, FirstNet, and Army Medic training to assist with this support. I truly love what I do.” – Tim Reynolds
